PERFORMANCE:

"They surf big waves amazingly well; they go over bumps at high speed without losing control; you can stay loose and just turn rail to rail. You can turn anywhere on the middle of the face without spinning out. If your board can do that, you'll be really stoked on big surf." - Fernando "Sheena" Ribeiro

"I'm totally stoked on the performance of your tow in boards." - Richard Schmidt, Santa Cruz big wave surfer

"The Surflight board was everything I'd hoped for in a tow-in and it saved me from some major thumpings." - Richard Schmidt

On Decembe 22, 2000 at Mavericks in Northern California, Santa Cruz charger Richard Schmidt surfed some of the biggest waves of his life on a 7-0 Surflight Tow-In board featuring Surflight's engineered flex technology. The largest wave was a strong finalist in the 2000 XXL Contest. Surflight thanks Doug Acton for the awesome photos (right) and Frank Quirarte of www.mavsurfer.com for his commitment to mavericks big wave surfing.

CUSTOM SHAPES:

Surflight's high performance Tow-in boards are hand shaped by some of Hawaii's best shapers - including Jeff Johnston and Mike Casey. Our boards are all custom shaped to your specifications.

FLEX:

The technology used in these cores provides the spring-loaded return necessary for acceleration and quick maneuvers while limiting twist (torsional flex). The amount of flex built into each board is based upon your weight, the type of board and the waves which the board is designed to handle.
